BSA Troop 85 Tupelo, Mississippi

Troop 85 is chartered in Tupelo, Mississippi by Harrisburg Baptist Church. Our current roster includes over 25 scouts and 8 adult leaders.

Troop 85 is a high adventure troop.  Some of our program features have included wilderness survival, rappelling, hiking, whitewater rafting, and large-project lashing.  Scouts find the adventure challenges they face in Troop 85 very demanding, and equally rewarding. 

We focus our attention on the boy-led method.  We believe in equipping boys with information and training, then "putting them to the test."

Troop 85 hosts an annual "Merit Badge Day" on the second Saturday in January, offering 18 courses to over 130 scouts.
